Henry C. Phillips (aka Shade Jonze) is a musician, singer, songwriter, performer, talent agent, novelist, community volunteer, charity donor and poet from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He currently performs as Shade Jonze, Henry Phillips and Janelle 'N Jonze as both a solo and duo act at large and small venues that appeal to senior citizens. His solo act, which is also seen at nursing homes and farmers markets, covers a wide variety of decades and styles.He writes under the name Henry C. Phillips and is pictured here with Shannon Persinger at the Cottage Event Center in Roanoke, Indiana (2014). His donor/volunteer work includes the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, Indiana and related childhood charities using funds raised through his music.
In 2013, he released A Johnny Cash Anniversary Tribute CD (Shade 'N Shannon), and in 2017, he may release an original music CD (Captain Fearless 6552) along with print and CD versions of short stories titled Final Hour. In 2016, Shade created (limited release) print and audio versions of a book of writings and original songs called Behind The Beard and another book of recorded original poetry and songs (Strong Like An Ant) with poetry written by Alaina Stellwagen) together with his original songs. His print/recorded novel (The Eyes Of Arden), has yet to be released.
